On November 3, within the territory of Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, the Gansu-Zhejiang ±800 kV UHVDC transmission project (Gansu section) successfully completed the construction operation of drilling under the ±1100 kV Ji-Quan line, laying a solid foundation for the advancement of the"Power Transmission from Gansu to Zhejiang" project.

According to the introduction, the drilling and crossing of UHV transmission lines refers to the situation in which newly built transmission lines with lower voltage levels pass beneath existing UHV transmission lines. This enables three-dimensional intersection of lines with different voltage levels within the same transmission corridor, greatly saving land resources. It is a more feasible and cost-effective solution to the problem of route intersections between newly planned lines and existing UHV"arteries."
